Cole White, LHT, GeoSc - GIS Specialist
Cole joined D&A in the spring of 2019, after graduating with a Geographic Information Systems diploma from the Centre of Geographic Sciences, an Esri Centre of Excellence in Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia.
Cole contributes significant experience in spatial analysis, database design, cartography, CAD, and sound knowledge of relevant programming languages to provide technical support, ensure data integrity, automate complex processes, support digital fieldwork protocols, and deliver the high-quality mapping products required to integrate GIS technology into D&A's project work.
In addition to their technical and analytical competencies, Cole contributes a science-based understanding and appreciation of plant ecology, having previous experience as a native plant horticulturalist/interpreter and conservation lab technician. Cole is also an active volunteer who uses maps to support non-profit work related to ecology, community empowerment, and public health.
