Municipal & Green Infrastructure
Ontario is facing the growing challenges of aging infrastructure, effects of climate change, and growing health care costs. Green infrastructure presents a method for communities to approach these challenges.
Green infrastructure is the use of vegetation, soil, and green technologies such as green roofs and infiltration swales to replicate ecosystem functions in the built environment. It gives rise to infrastructure and energy cost savings while providing human health benefits.
With our focus on ecology, design and planning, D&A has both developed and applied green infrastructure plans for over 15 years.
